The short version

We don't log what you do online. We don't sell your data. We collect the minimum information needed to operate your subscription. That's it.

What we collect

When you sign up, we collect your email address. That's how we send you the magic code to log in.

When you subscribe, Apple handles the payment through the App Store and your Apple ID. We see only that a subscription is active and an opaque transaction identifier. We never see your card number or your billing address.

We keep a record of each device signed in to your account: a device name, the platform and app version, Apple's per-vendor identifier, the time it last contacted us, and which server location it last chose. That's what powers your device list and the three-device limit. It says nothing about where you went or what you sent.

When you connect to Slipstream, our servers receive the encrypted tunnel from your device. They do not record what websites you visit, what apps you use, or what you send and receive. Each server reports its own totals — how many connections it is handling, how many bytes it has moved this month, and whether it is up. Those numbers are per server, never per person, and we keep them for up to 35 days so we can plan capacity.

What we don't collect

Your real name. Your home address. Your phone number. Your browsing history. Your DNS queries. Your IP address (except briefly, in volatile memory, while routing the connection). Your location beyond what's implied by your chosen server.

What we share

We don't sell your data and we don't share it with advertisers or data brokers.

A few providers handle parts of the service for us: Apple processes your subscription, our email provider delivers your login code, and our hosting providers run the servers. They act on our instructions and can't use your data for their own purposes.

Beyond that, nothing — except in response to a valid legal order, and we don't have anything useful to share if asked.

Cookies

The website uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. No third-party tracking cookies. No analytics tracking your browsing. No advertising pixels.

Your rights

You can request a copy of any data we have about you, or request that we delete your account, by emailing hello@slipstreamly.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
